Douglas Weller , primero arriba a la izquierda y quien aparece en las fotos de esta página web, su anfitrión y fundador de Margaritabiz.com entre otros.  Nacido en Caracas el 25 de mayo de 1942, ciudadano Venezolano y Británico, educado en el Reino Unido. Hablo inglés, español y lo básico de francés. Trabajé en varias actividades en Caracas y el litoral central en el campo de hotelería y luego por 8 años como Representante Comercial en la Embajada de Gran Bretaña. Me establecí en Margarita en Febrero 1974 para ser representante de fábricas en los ramos de materiales de construcción, ferretería, bicicletas, muebles y mucho más. Desempeñé el cargo de Gerente General por corto tiempo de una reconocida importadora mayorista de alimentos y bebidas. Luego ejercí la función de Cónsul Honorario de Gran Bretaña durante 11 años, ahora me encuentro retirado de dicho cargo y dedicado 100% al ramo inmobiliario, administración y alquileres vacacionales. Somos un equipo familiar a sus ordenes en la isla de Margarita! 

 

  

Douglas Weller, shown in website photos taken 2001 (now a little older), your host founder and manager, born 25th May 1942 in Caracas Venezuela, British citizen, educated in Great Britain, fluent English and Spanish plus a reasonably good written and spoken knowledge of French, arrived in Margarita early 1974, manufacturers´ representatives for foreign exporters in construction materials, hardware, bicycles, wines spirits and foodstuffs, importer and wholesale distributor, honorary British Consul since early 1992 and retired late 2003 after 11 years and now 100% dedicated to real estate, vacation rentals (alquileres vacacionales) and reservations, internet marketing, websites and property management. We are a family team at your services on the island of Margarita!
